I Tried Building a Webpage with AI Tools Like Stitch — Here’s What Surprised Me

I recently experimented with creating a simple webpage using AI-assisted tools like Stitch AI, and honestly, the experience felt very different from traditional development.

Instead of starting with layouts, HTML structure, or design frameworks, I began with a prompt. Within minutes, the tool generated a usable webpage structure with decent UI, basic content, and even responsive elements. It felt more like “describing” a website than building one.

What stood out:

  • Speed: You can go from idea to prototype very quickly
  • Accessibility: Non-developers can actually build something functional
  • Iteration: Tweaking designs using prompts is surprisingly intuitive

That said, it’s not perfect. Customization still has limits, and fine-tuning the output sometimes requires manual coding or switching to tools like Visual Studio Code.

It made me think are we moving toward a future where building websites becomes more about communication than coding?

Curious if anyone else here has tried AI website builders. Did it replace how you usually build, or just make things faster?

Stitch is a great tool and helps us a lot in experimenting with new designs for SEO landing pages.
