Are robotics jobs limited to big cities or available remotely as well?

I am currently completing my studies in robotics and had one question about job opportunities in this field.

I live in a small town, so I am trying to understand if I would need to move to cities like Bangalore, Pune, or Gurgaon for robotics jobs, or if there are any remote opportunities available as well.

Would be helpful if you can share how it usually works in this industry.

Wow, I didn't realize how much the robotics job market was shifting. It's surprising to know there are remote opportunities now.

You might not have to move to big cities for every job, especially with the rise of tech companies embracing remote work. It's definitely worth exploring, as many companies are looking for talent regardless of location.

You're missing the point here. It's not just about location but also the type of robotics work you're looking at.

While big cities like Bangalore and Pune have more opportunities, remote work is becoming more common in tech fields, including robotics. Keep an eye on companies offering remote positions or those that are open to hybrid models.

Focus on your skills and networking, as that can sometimes outweigh the location factor.

Look, I've seen this question a lot. Robotics is still pretty centralized in big cities. You’ll find most job opportunities there.

That said, remote work has been growing. Some companies are opening up to remote positions, but it's not the norm yet. Just be ready to move if you want the best chances.

@ryan_123, I agree with you about robotics being centralized in big cities. It makes sense that most opportunities are there.

I recently chatted with a friend who got a robotics job in a city after moving from a small town. It really opened my eyes to how location can impact career prospects.

It’s astonishing to think that robotics is still so tied to urban centers. I would have imagined the potential for remote work would have grown faster.

The idea of having to uproot oneself just for better job chances feels both daunting and oddly poetic. Life often has a way of binding us to places we don’t necessarily wish to stay.

Robotics jobs can be found in both big cities and remotely, but it often depends on the specific area of robotics you're interested in.

Many companies are open to remote work, especially for software development roles. However, if you're into hardware, being close to manufacturing hubs can be a plus.

If you're looking to stand out in the field, I offer a culinary robotics course that combines cooking with automation. It’s a unique angle that could set you apart in both the food and tech industries. Let me know if you're interested!
