How to upskill for a senior web dev role

Sitting at mid-level frontend/fullstack for 5 years, want to move to senior web dev - what certifications, skills or tools actually matter in hiring? Should I focus on system design, cloud (AWS/GCP), infra as code, typescript patterns, testing, performance, leadership and architecture interviews, or get certs like AWS Pro, Google, or specific courses? Which projects or open source contributions impress recruiters more in India/remote roles?
